Robert Sellers
Vice Provost for Equity and Inclusion & Chief Diversity Officer
About: Dr. Robert Sellers is the Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion, and Academic Affairs, and also serves as the Charles D. Moody Collegiate Professor of Psychology and Education. As Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion, and Academic Affairs, Dr. Sellers works with the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs on matters related to diversity at the university as well as a broad range of academic issues including the budget, faculty tenure and promotions, and student enrollment. He oversees operations of five central administrative units.


Mary Boyce
Assistant Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion & Academic Affairs
About: As a faculty and academic administrator in public and private colleges and universities, Mary Boyce brings a wealth of experience to the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the University of Michigan. Mary is centrally involved with the U-M diversity census, diversity strategic planning, and with the University’s reaffirmation of accreditation process with the Higher Learning Commission

Dilip Das
Assistant Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion & Academic Affairs
About: Dilip’s current focus is on the 2020 Higher Learning Commission reaccreditation process and on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

Jeffery Frumkin
Associate Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs & Director of Academic Human Resources | Interim Director of the Office for Institutional Equity
About: Jeffery has specialized in academic human resource matters for nearly 25 years at the Systemwide Office of the University of California, Michigan State University, Eastern Michigan University, University of Michigan, and the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.

Ellen Meader
Assistant Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion & Academic Affairs
About: Ellen provides administrative support for diversity strategic planning and research, the Provost’s Council on Student Honors, and faculty initiatives including recruitment, retention, and professional development opportunities.

Katrina Wade-Golden
Assistant Vice Provost & Director of Implementation for the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
About: Katrina is the Assistant Vice Provost & Director of Implementation for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Plan. Katrina serves as the Lead planning and implementation facilitator in Academic Affairs for the university-wide DE&I Strategic Plan.


William Collins
Director, Center for Educational Outreach (CEO)
About: William Collins serves as Executive Director of the Center for Educational Outreach, providing leadership for collaborations with school personnel and community organizations that are interested in student academic development and college access. Key focus areas include providing capacity-building support, collaboration and coordination of university outreach efforts, and offering engagement programs to inspire student academic excellence.

Robert Jagers
Director, Wolverine Pathways
About: Rob is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the recently launched Wolverine Pathways initiative. His team works with targeted school communities to provide enrichment and exposures that aim to increase the likelihood that promising young people apply, attend and graduate from the University of Michigan.

Feodies Shipp III
Acting Director, University of Michigan Detroit Center
About: In this role, Feodies seeks to foster and support engagement between the University, Detroit and metro communities through research, programming, academic and outreach initiatives. He also oversees facilities management and administers several U-M Detroit Center programs, such as MLK Day Activities.

Gloria Taylor
Director, Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI)
About: Gloria directs the organization vision, and designs, develops and implements strategic plans to meet the mission goals of the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives.


April Gross
Financial Specialist Intermediate

About: April Gross currently serves as the financial specialist for business activities related to the ODEI all reporting units.

Laura Harrington
Executive Assistant

About: Laura provides administrative support for the Chief Diversity Officer. She maintains the CDO’s calendar, schedules meetings, assists in gathering pertinent meeting materials, makes travel arrangements and organizes special events.

Cathy Jenkins-Newton
Business Administrator

About: Cathy manages the administrative operations of the ODEI unit, serving as the departmental lead on all human resources, financial, procurement, technology and business related operations for the unit.

Julie Kelley
Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

About: Julie’s current focus includes business operations (finance, HR, marketing and communications, facilities) for all ODEI units, including the OVP office. Current special projects include the ODEI reorganization, the Detroit Connector, and exploration/implementation of Salesforce applications.
