Tabbye Chavous
Vice Provost for Equity and Inclusion & Chief Diversity Officer
About: Dr. Tabbye Chavous is the Vice Provost for Equity and Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer. As Vice Provost, Dr. Chavous works with the provost and executive vice president for academic affairs on matters related to diversity at the university as well as a broad range of academic issues including the budget, faculty tenure and promotions, and student enrollment. She oversees the operations of six central administrative units.

Ellen Meader
Assistant Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion & Academic Affairs
About: Ellen provides administrative support for diversity strategic planning and research, the Provost’s Council on Student Honors, and faculty initiatives including recruitment, retention, and professional development opportunities.


Katrina Wade-Golden
Associate Vice Provost, Deputy Chief Diversity Officer, & Director of Implementation for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Plan
About: Katrina is the Deputy Chief Diversity Office and Director of Implementation for the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Plan. Katrina serves as the Lead planning and implementation facilitator in Academic Affairs for the university-wide DEI Strategic Plan.


Deborah Willis
Assistant Vice Provost for Equity, Inclusion & Academic Affairs
About: Deborah’s role focuses on the student experience and she works closely with numerous student-focused units including Student Life and Rackham Graduate School.

Kim Lijana
Director, Center for Educational Outreach (CEO)
About: Kim Lijana is responsible for empowering and developing staff to reach their goals and advancing CEO’s mission while building an outreach community of practice among faculty at U-M.


Carla O’Connor
Director, Wolverine Pathways
About: Carla is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Wolverine Pathways initiative. Her team works with targeted school communities to provide enrichment and exposures that aim to increase the likelihood that promising young people apply, attend and graduate from the University of Michigan.


Gloria Taylor
Director, Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI)
About: Gloria directs the organization vision, and designs, develops and implements strategic plans to meet the mission goals of the Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives.

About: Felecia is the Director of Evaluation and Assessment for the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

About: Julie’s current focus includes business operations (finance, HR, marketing and communications, facilities) for all ODEI units, including the OVP office. Current special projects include the ODEI reorganization, the Detroit Connector, and the exploration/implementation of Salesforce applications.
