Communications, Marketing & Multimedia Accessibility Guide

The Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion’s communications and marketing team, alongside partners within the University of Michigan, has developed an insightful guide focused on accessibility in communications, marketing and multimedia. Drawing upon national best practices and resources, this guide was developed specifically with communicators and creators in mind, echoing our commitment to fostering equity and inclusivity in all our efforts. To keep up with the ever-evolving landscape of accessibility standards and practices, this guide continually adapts to incorporate the latest trends and practices from across the nation.

Holidays & Cultural Heritage Calendar

Members of the University of Michigan community support and celebrate a multitude of cultural and heritage observances throughout the year. By embracing the vast array of beliefs and identities of those on campus, this calendar strives to be a comprehensive representation of the U-M community, while also acknowledging it will evolve over time. In recognizing these events, we invite the community on a continued journey of learning more about the traditions, histories and experiences of their friends, colleagues and educators.

Religious Holiday Calendar

The Provost’s Office offers a comprehensive calendar that lists various religious observances and provides guidance to students on how to navigate their religious practices and the University’s academic calendar. The calendar includes fact sheets that were prepared by a U-M School of Information project team in consultation with religious leaders and community organizations.
