headshot of hillary brody anchillHillary Brody Anchill joined the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in 2022 as a writer and communications specialist focused on storytelling initiatives.

Hillary joins the University of Michigan with 15 years of experience as a writer, curator and nonprofit professional. For nearly a decade, she worked as a fine art specialist at Swann Auction Galleries in New York City. As the Director of External Relations for CultureSource, she managed its marketing, branding, communications and community and corporate partnerships, building visibility and awareness for arts and culture organizations throughout Southeast Michigan. She also has worked for Detroit-based galleries and nonprofits, providing strategic direction, program development and grant writing.

Hillary holds a B.A. in History from Barnard College, Columbia University, and a Master’s degree in Art History from New York University’s Institute of Fine Arts. In 2018, she was named a Rising Leader by the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs.
