Now in its fourth semester, the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion hosts a student artist-in-residence to create original artwork depicting a myriad of holidays and cultural and heritage celebrations on our social media accounts. By allowing artists to interpret these observances, we provide a platform for creative expression, elevating student voices while highlighting the diverse beliefs and celebrations of the University community.
The artist-in-residence will:
Some examples of observances include Lunar New Year, Women’s History Month, Pride, and Ramadan. A general familiarity with a diverse range of holidays is preferred but not required. Artwork can be created in any medium, but must be submitted in a high-resolution, digital format.
