Wolverine Pathways seeks to make a U-M education possible for talented students. The program works with 7-12 grade students in selected communities to increase their probability of admission, enrollment and degree completion at the University of Michigan. Established in the 1980s, for over thirty years, the Association of Black Professionals, Faculty, Administrators, and staff have provided a forum dedicated to creating a working environment that allows black employees to flourish through programming, mentoring, professional development, and establishing bi-directional communication with the University of Michigan Leadership. In 2021, under a unanimous vote, the organization changed its name to the Black Employee Association at the University of Michigan B.E.A.M. This change was created to represent the multiple positions black faculty and staff lead on campus and be more inclusive.

The Women of Color in the Academy Project (WOCAP) is a campus-wide faculty network at U-M that supports scholarship focused on understanding the experiences of women of color in the academy and advocacy work to address the challenges and issues faced uniquely by women of color in the academy. To advance this scholarship and advocacy work, WOCAP provides professional development and a supportive and inclusive community that includes writing retreats, weekly writing sessions, bi-annual dinners, and other networking and professional development opportunities. The Women of Color Task Force (WCTF) is a University of Michigan staff organization, founded in 1979, that provides professional development, networking, and training opportunities for employees, with a focus on addressing the needs of women of color staff. For more than 36 years, the WCTF has served as a support network and a forum for the exchange of information about the status of women of color staff at the University of Michigan. Learn more.
The University of Michigan has established the DEI Initiative on Jewish Life and Antisemitism to advance education and action to combat religious and cultural bias and oppression. This Initiative brings together knowledgeable, and passionate faculty, staff, students, and alumni, and is sponsored and co-led by Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (ODEI) in partnership with the Jean & Samuel Frankel Center for Judaic Studies, the Jewish Communal Leadership Program, and Michigan Hillel.
Gifts to this fund will support student scholarships to those who have demonstrated commitment to bettering their community through social justice. Through the grassroots campaign and more long term the scholarship fund, we hope to bring the Michigan community together in advancing racial justice in education. Preference will be given to those who have completed the Wolverine Pathways Program.
