“We Are DEI” Video Series Promotes Voices, Thoughts of U-M Community

As part of the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion’s ongoing engagement with the U-M community, the “We Are DEI” video series brings to the forefront the authentic voices and thoughts of staff, students, and faculty at U-M, weaving together current insights regarding DEI efforts on campus.

Prior to the launch of DEI 2.0 this fall, we reached out to the U-M community, asking individuals what drives and fuels their interest in DEI work. A universal theme included two specific questions:

• “What draws you to the cause of diversity, equity, and inclusion?”
• “In what ways do you envision yourself playing a part in the DEI 2.0 chapter?”
