SELLERS: We Stand in Solidarity with HBCUs

pen and notepad on desk

The University of Michigan, a fellow institution dedicated to the educational uplift of humanity, condemns the recent and continued bomb threats that have been levied against several Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). We condemn these acts and stand in solidarity with our valued peers and partners.

As a proud graduate of Howard University, I know that our HBCUs will not only endure, but will once again rise above these acts. Throughout our nation’s history, threats of violence have been used to terrorize and intimidate, in an attempt to suppress voices and prevent change. In spite of this, our HBCUs have persevered throughout their 185 years in existence, and will continue to persevere, rise above and thrive.
