As the University of Michigan continuously monitors and evaluates the evolution of its schools, colleges and units, it is essential that we support their mission and goals in a way that maximizes both their potential and impact amongst the University and community at-large.
After careful review and consideration, beginning July 1, 2018, the University of Michigan Detroit Center and Detroit Connector will report to James Holloway, Vice Provost for Global Engagement and Interdisciplinary Academic Affairs.
With the transition of the Detroit Center and Detroit Connector, both units will align more closely with the University of Michigan’s vision on global and civic engagement, providing a unique synergy that will both support and enhance our efforts locally and abroad.
We look forward to the new opportunities that await the Detroit Center and Detroit Connector, and will continue to share updates as the transition progresses.
Sincerely,
