UMich protest over racist incidents ends with fight near Michigan Union

ANN ARBOR, MI – A protest over recent racist acts of vandalism on the University of Michigan campus ended in a fight outside the Michigan Union on Wednesday, Sept. 20.

Following a 7:30 p.m. protest on the steps of the Union, approximately 150 students marched up the stairs into the Union’s Rogel Ballroom, where they met with UM administrators, including President Mark Schlissel and Chief Diversity Officer Robert Sellers.
