The University of Michigan Board of Regents approved the appointment of Robert M. Sellers as the university’s first-ever chief diversity officer.

Sellers, who has served as the vice provost for equity, inclusion and academic affairs for the past two years, was recommended for the position by U-M President Mark Schlissel and Provost Martha Pollack.
