Robert M Sellers, Chair of the Psychology Department

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the website for the Office of the Vice Provost of Equity, Inclusion and Academic Affairs (OVPEIAA), ovpeiaa.umich.edu.

Committed to creating an inclusive and equitable climate that fully utilizes diversity at the University of Michigan, the OVPEIAA website provides a variety of resources and information for our entire community, including faculty, staff and students.

As an office driven by the engagement of issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, our initiatives and programming efforts are reflective of the University of Michigan’s commitment to these topics across the university community and in higher education.

The focus of OVPEIAA’s initiatives includes programming that provides outreach to K-12 students, engagement programs that support diversity issues related to U-M and higher education, programming that provides services to Michigan communities, support for diversity-related services and activities that are housed at U-M schools and colleges, and programming that provides services to U-M students.

With collaboration and supportive efforts as key components of this digital space, the OVPEIAA website is designed to serve as a gateway for news, updates and information related to these initiatives and units, while providing university resources and staff information, all in one helpful, convenient location.

In collaboration with the University’s diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative, OVPEIAA is committed to the collective efforts that will contribute toward a more inclusive and equitable campus community at the University of Michigan. I hope that you find the site useful and informative.

Sincerely,

Robert M. Sellers
