From The Vice Provost: The New OVPEIAA Newsletter

Psychology Department, Christina Robinson

While summer can sometimes be seen as an opportunity to “take your foot off the gas,” the efforts of those who work across our units/office have been extraordinarily impressive during this time. We’ve made significant strides in accomplishing our goals, while also exploring new collaborative relationships. I can’t thank all of you enough for making the summer months such a success.

As we embark on the fall semester, I’m excited to announce the new EIAA newsletter. To assist in developing a greater awareness surrounding the efforts occurring across the central office and units, the EIAA newsletter will provide news, updates, and event information at the beginning of each semester.

Further Information on how to contribute to this collaborative news sharing effort each semester will be available soon on ovpeiaa.umich.edu.

In addition to the newsletter, I would also like to recognize the new employee appreciation program, PROPS (Professional Recognition of Phenomenal Service). Built around the concept of highlighting individuals who excel in their work, these outstanding efforts are essential to the success of the work we do as it relates to diversity, equity and inclusion at the University of Michigan.

I highly encourage all of you to participate in this program and give “props” for a job well done to any and all deserving colleagues. Additional information about the program is available at PROPS Employee Appreciation.

Lastly, the University will be hosting its official Strategic Plan launch event this fall. Additional details will be available soon on diversity.umich.edu and ovpeiaa.umich.edu.

I look forward to working with all of you this semester and the positive impact your work will have on the University community this academic year.

Sincerely,
Rob Sellers
